The cushing story

We've been serving classic family entertainment up and down New England for special events, fairs, festivals, and fundraisers for decades.

In the 1930s, Marion's father, Lawrence Carr, started the family carnival tradition. Marion grew up working food stands and selling tickets for her father.

After marrying her husband, Lawrence Cushing Jr., in the late 1950s, she and her husband made their own mark on the industry as LMC Amusements.

Today, the tradition continues with Marion and her family. She runs Cushing Amusements with her son, Lawrence Cushing III, his son, Peter Cushing, and is supported by her children and grandchildren too.
